When shopping for an elliptical trainer you will notice that there are two main types: ones with poles and ones without poles. Often it is recommended that you choose one that comes with detachable poles. The purpose of having the poles is that they allow you to work your upper body and not just your lower body. What is your budget? There are many types of elliptical trainer all at different prices. You should always shop around for the best deal and even consider buying a second-hand model. People often buy items of home gym equipment only to use it just a few times and then they sell it because they don’t use it any more. There isn’t necessarily anything incorrect with the machine.

What manufacturer do you want to choose? There are so many different manufacturers of elliptical trainers and these include Rebok, Life Fitness and Schwinn. You should research each brand and choose if you want to buy a branded unit or a cheaper machine from a company you have never heard of before.
